TRIP BALANCES: All standard advertised trips must be paid in full by 60 days before departure.

How do I reserve a seat? What is your cancellation policy?
TRIP DEPOSITS: All trips require a $50 deposit (nonrefundable) per person to hold your seat. The $50 will be deducted from the total you owe for the trip. The only way to not lose your deposit if you cancel is if you immediately switch to another trip date with open spots.
TRIP BALANCES: Trips must be paid in full by 60 days before departure to not risk losing seats.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
The $50 deposits are always nonrefundable. This is my protection that I reserve spots for serious clients only and do not lose money when paying fees to hotels and bus companies in advance. Once the balance is paid on the seats, the trips are transferable, meaning you can sell your seats on your own to another party, or you can send someone on the trip in your place.
If you cancel 60+ days in advance: you lose the $50 deposit only
If you cancel 45-60 days in advance: 75% refund (you lose $50 deposit + 25% of rest)
If you cancel 30-45 days in advance: 50% refund (you lose $50 deposit + 50% of rest)
If you cancel 21-30 days in advance: 25% refund (you lose $50 deposit and 50% of the rest of your fare)
If you cancel 0-21 days before departure: no refund at all, as I have paid all fees by this point.
Trips may be transferred (you may give the trip to someone you know, or sell the trip to someone who can go in your place).
Once you cancel, your refund will be returned to you within 30 days of cancellation notice.
***With all the above said, I do try my very best to work with clients to ensure they do not lose money if something happens and they cannot go (with the exception of the nonrefundable deposits).
You can feel free to purchase trip insurance on your own for your trip. There are many independent companies that offer this. One website that offers this service is www.insuremytrip.com.

What is the typical trip schedule for one of your NYC trips?
TYPICAL NYC 3 FULL DAY WEEKEND (THURSDAY PM- MONDAY AM) TRIP ITINERARY:
We will depart in the evening via a 57 passenger coach bus from the Park and Ride right off of exit 40 of I-64. Usually, we will meet at 7:00PM, and depart by 7:30PM. If there is a deviation from this, it would be minimal. We drive through the night, making 3 optional restroom stops along the way, with the first being in Morgantown (where we have a rest stop at the Pilot station, and pick up passengers at the park and ride off Goshen Road). The bus will be dark and quiet. We will arrive at our hotel at around 6:00AM, barring any traffic issues. We stay at the New York Marriott Downtown, and get our rooms that morning ON ARRIVAL. You can get ready in the privacy of your own hotel room, take a nap, or start your weekend however you like. We will have 3 full days in the city, and 2 full nights in the hotel before we depart for home on Sunday evening, usually at 7:30PM. We will stop for restroom breaks (including Morgantown passenger drop off), and arrive back to the park & ride in Teays Valley at 5:45AM Monday morning.

Do you (Rebecca) personally attend every trip to escort us on the bus, and will you be there in New York at/near the hotel if we need you?
Yes, I plan to attend every trip. In nearly 10 years and 75+ trips, I have attended ALL BUT ONE. In the event that I cannot personally attend, I do have associates that are fully trained and capable of attending in my absence. If I ever cannot attend, i will still be available via text or cell 24/7 during the trip and will be in frequent contact with attendees during the trip.

When do we get in our rooms?
IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL! THIS IS ONE MAJOR DIFFERENCE THAT SETS THE NEW YORK CHICK TRIPS APART FROM THE REST!
We have to pay a round trip porterage fee of $10 per bag in advance (regardless of size or even if they are touched by the hotel staff or stored at all...this is a rule for all groups of 10 or more) when we arrive, so PLEASE CONSOLIDATE YOUR BAGGAGE with members of your room as much as possible! I will collect this fee at departure. This covers your gratuities for the hotel bell staff for the weekend. There is no limit on the size of the bag, so feel free to bring a very large suitcase, there will be room on the bus! Again, I collect $10 per person at trip departure to cover this cost. The hotel counts our bags on Sunday while they are in storage.

Who goes on these trips? Is anyone prohibited? Are children full price?
Most passengers are families, groups of friends, couples, coworkers, and sports/scouts/church groups. These trips are great for special occasions such as bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday weekends, anniversary weekends, graduation trips, or any special occasion to just get away. Children are welcome, but must be 4 years old or older (so that they will be able to reliably remain quiet on the bus). Children are full price, there are no discounts for age, as the cost to me is the same.
*Open containers of alcohol are prohibited on board the bus, and myself and the coach company reserve the right to remove anyone who is intoxicated or who is visibly ill when boarding the bus. This is group travel, so please be courteous of other passengers if you are ill.

Do you ever plan those "Red-Eye" NYC trips that drive up and back with no lodging?
NO! All of my trips offer a minimum of 3 full days in the city, 2 overnights in a hotel in the city, and never involve New Jersey. I have never and will never offer Red-Eye trips or lodging outside of Manhattan.

What about bad weather?
Unfortunately, bad weather sometimes strikes at inopportune times. I have never had to cancel any of the over 70 trips I have planned and taken. Just as if you were traveling on your own, you are responsible for any hotel fees that may ensue as a result of an act of God or something out of my control, such as a storm. I am not responsible for paying for extra lodging due to weather (if we were to get stranded on the way home due to a interstate closure, etc), nor for any missed work you might incur if we end up stranded by a snowstorm or other catastrophic event. In 9 winters traveling 3 times per winter, I have only had one issue with weather, and that was many years ago. The interstate closed due to an ice storm on our way home. We stopped for a night, negotiating rooms at a low rate. You may buy third party trip insurance at sites like www.insuremytrip.com.

Why trust you with our travel dollars? Is this your full time job?
I am a registered nurse and have worked the last 12 years in sales, marketing, and public relations for pharmaceutical companies. Being a Drug Rep is my full time job, and my job and my children are my absolute #1 priorities. However, I also have a business license as a travel agent/ tour operator/ event planner in the state of WV. I have taken NYC travel training in addition, and am a certified "NYC Specialist" by the New York Travel Trade Organization. I have now organized and taken over 75 bus trips to NYC (and 2 to Chicago), each with a minimum of 2 nights in Manhattan hotels. I have a Facebook review score of 4.9 out of 5 stars, and many, many repeat customers. If you try to reach me to ask questions or book a trip via Facebook message, email, or text and I do not immediately respond, please be patient and know I will get back to you ASAP.
